STEEL FIXING AND REINFORCEMENT
Steel fixing is one of the most integral aspects of the pool construction process as it provides a concrete pool with extra strength to reinforce with the concrete. As a result you can expect a concrete pool with the added steel will outlast years.
HOW DO WE RENFORCE THE STEEL
We use only the best in 12mm reinforcing bars for all our swimming pools compliant with AS/NZS 4671 Steel for the reinforcement of concrete.
Working through your engineering plans the steel fixer will manipulate and bend each bar to the shape of your swimming pool design. Each bar is reinforced together using wire to hold it all together before the concrete is poured.
At times we may need to add form work to hold the concrete and steel in place, particularly where there is sand. However, often we will require form work / form ply if there are out of ground features like a water fall or external walls sitting above ground.
EARTHING THE POOL
Our team of Gold Coast pool builders take all safety precautions to ensure you are protected in your pool. This includes fixing the earth wire during the steel fixing stage prior to concrete pouring. By earthing it will keep harmful electrical currents away from the pool and swimming pool filtration equipment.
When it comes to connecting the other end of the earth wire this will need to be completed by your licensed electrician.
